KFTD Strengthens Corruption Prevention Efforts by Streamlined Gratification Reporting

Corruption remains a persistent threat in public and private sectors. Organizations worldwide are actively seeking ways to prevent corrupt practices. In Indonesia, where transparency is critical, PT Kimia Farma Trading & Distribution (KFTD) as part of Kimia Farma Group is taking significant steps to prevent corruption. One of KFTD’s crucial initiatives is its streamlined gratification reporting.

Streamlined Gratification Reporting

Recognizing the need for robust anti-corruption measures, KFTD has implemented a “no tolerance” policy:

  • No Bribery: KFTD strictly prohibits any form of bribery, extortion, or kickback.
  • No Kickback: Commissions, thank-you payments, or any form of undue financial gain shall not be accepted.
  • No Gift: Unreasonable gifts are strictly forbidden.
  • No Luxurious Hospitality: Excessive lavish entertainment is off the table.

To reinforce these principles, KFTD has implemented a streamlined gratification reporting system.

Whistleblowing System

KFTD’s commitment extends beyond policies. KFTD actively promotes transparency through its Whistleblowing System (WBS):

1. Channels for Reporting

Gratification reports must be submitted in either hard copy or via email in pdf/jpeg format. Reports can be sent to UPG through written submissions using the gratification report form or via email at [email protected]. Forms can be accessed and submitted through KFTD’s official website to facilitate reporting.

2. Confidentiality and Protection

KFTD safeguards the privacy of individuals who report misconduct. This policy fosters a culture of openness where employees can disclose wrongdoing without fear of repercussions.

3. Procedure for Reporting Gratification:

  • The recipient must report to UPG within ten working days via email or hard copy.
  • UPG will analyze the report and, if necessary, summon the involved parties for further clarification.

If the report does not qualify as reportable gratuities (such as family gifts, personal investment returns, cooperative benefits, etc.), it will be returned to the reporter.

As KFTD continues its mission to distribute life-saving medicines, its dedication to corruption prevention sets a commendable example. By fostering transparency, accountability, and integrity, KFTD maintains good corporate governance.
